I just finished reading two long articles from the New York Times: one about how heavily the dairy industry relies on undocumented workers, the other about the impact of DEI initiatives on college campuses. One didn’t surprise me at all. The other told me things I really didn’t want to hear. That’s why I read both articles. That’s why journalism is important.
Ultimately, the pain of not knowing uncomfortable information is greater than the comfort of it’s avoidance.
